In Oita, Japan in 1979, One Village One Product was envisioned. It was implemented in 1980 and became one of the most insightful program in Asia. Because the City Planning and Development Office of Tuguegarao saw the great impact and the significant development of this program, Tuguegarao City adopted the concept into One Barangay One Livelihood. Wherein, after a year, the Arroyo government promulgated the program One Town One Product.
Whereas, to enhance the financial capability of the vibrant and peaceful Tuguegarao City and establish a global standard towards a progressive society, I urge every citizen of this promising city to join me in this vision of reinforced collaboration between our barangay folks and our local government in the livelihood projects and programs.
As we further enhance global competitiveness of Tuguegarao City in terms of its Livelihood Development, business in the city will surely contribute greatly in the expansion and diversification of its local industries. Let us achieve a continuous valuable progression and an active distinction of a city that does not simply plan but acts on what is best for its people.
Let us join hand in hand in having a livelihood program for every barangay. Support Tuguegarao City’s One Barangay One Livelihood!
